new table linens for spring and summer

After an adventurous journey all the way from India, the newest spring styles from Pacific & Rose have arrived!

From tablecloths, napkins and runners to tea towels, aprons and robes, I'm loving the pretty blue and green  tones that mix and match so effortlessly.

Which of these three napkins (above) would you choose if you had to set a table right now? I'll give you some inspiration on how I love to use these pretty table linens...

First up is Gayatri Blue & Green, seen here in my new veg garden. This pattern is so lively that you simply need your everyday dishware and a pretty bouquet of flowers to set a table like this. That’s it! Easy as pie!

The blues and greens are so pretty in this pattern. The napkins can be used with solid or striped tablecloths too, for a unique look.

The Gayatri Blue & Green pattern also comes in a fabulous table runner and placemats. The fabric is a little thicker on these two items, and they just add great appeal to any table.

Roll out that runner, and you’ve instantly added loads of charm to your dining space, indoors or out! Above, you can see the brand new Anouk print. It comes in this fabulous blue color!

Here’s the Anouk pattern shown in a nautical look using the napkins and placemats, along with the runner, at the center of the table.

(Info on the Wicker Anchor pieces is provided at the bottom of this post.)

The color of this Anouk tablecloth is amazing in that it can go from casual to formal in a flash!

Dress it up or dress it down. It’s up to you!

Any of the square sized 60” x 60”tablecloths also work great on a small round table like this one I have out by the pool.

The third pattern is this new trio is called Larisa, and features more of a geometric chevron stripe pattern and mixes and matches so well with the Gayatri and Anouk patterns!

Here’s the Larisa tablecloth featured in the little French part of my garden that we like to call the potager. As you see we kept the tableware and flowers simple, so the pattern of the table linens really takes centerstage.

All the roses are from my cottage garden, and easily arranged in a vintage white ironstone pitcher.

And now for something really new… beautiful bandanas!

Who can resist one of these pretty patters to wrap around your neck or wear in your hair in the most stylish of ways?

The new spring line of goods also makes gift-giving a breeze. Check out the 3 pretty kitchen tea towels that are sure to spice up any kitchen setting.

The great news is Gayatri Blue & Green, Anouk and Larisa also come in robes, makeup bags and aprons!

The lightweight voile cotton robes are always so soft and comfy. I own quite a few, and they’re perfect for lounging around in, putting on after bathing or anytime you want to relax around the house and feel pretty while doing so.

They’re also great for packing into you bags for your next trip. They don’t take up much room at all!

And speaking of vacay time…

Summer travels will be much brighter when our makeup bag is upgraded to one of these quilted beauties! Which cosmetic pouch would you chose?

These aprons are ideal for working in the kitchen, the garden or the studio. Hand block-printed by artisans at our fair-trade workshop in Jaipur, India

Getting back to the outdoors and all of the alfresco tables we will be setting this spring and summer, here’s the gorgeous Lilibet  Caramel Indigo tablecloth and napkins set in the backyard for a little evening soiree.

It's back for summer, by popular demand!

I love these Pacific and Rose linens so much. They’re always a hit at a dinner party and tend to make my home feel special too.

roses, bunnies and candles for spring!

The one word that keeps creeping up this season is BUNNIES!

And I just found the cutest hand painted blue and white bunny rabbit pitcher on Amazon that’s so perfect for holding lots and lots of flowers!

It’s a really nice large size, as you can see here holding 3 dozen roses from Trader Joe’s.

Also pictured on my breakfast room table are the Songbird Candle Holder from Vagabond House and a tablecloth I recently made from a couple of yards of vintage fabric.

I love how it looks with all the blues in this room, I especially think it looks fab with this fun rabbit pitcher

I've been collecting these great vintage Reader's Digest books just for their colors, designs and the fact they come in handy for adding dimension and character to any setting.

You may recognize the Songbird Candle Holder from lots of my vignettes over the years. It's one of my favorite little pieces for spring!

Some of my favorite vintage and bargain finds are also pictured here. The table was an alley find for $0! The plates and platters on the wall were thrifted years ago, and some even came from Marshall's.

The chandelier is new, but has so much character, like a real vintage piece!

Here are some links to some of my favorite spring items:

I hope you're having a great weekend!

Off I go to the veg garden to plant some lettuce and rainbow chard...

fall inspiration and gift ideas

 from Pacific & Rose

Three new prints just dropped yesterday from Pacific & Rose, including this one… the Charlotte print in Indigo. Isn’t she pretty?

I love how the muted denim-like color of Charlotte can effortlessly carry me through each season. Here I've paired it with freshly cut hydrangeas from the garden, pretty goblets and my vintage placemats.

There’s also a pretty caramel version of this Charlotte pattern that you'll see next. with cinnamon-like colors. They both coordinate so nicely with the floral Lilibet pattern. The Lilibet Caramel Indigo napkin is shown here.

It most definitely feels like the weather has moved on to autumn this week here. Are you ready for the cozy new season?

The muted tones of Autumn can be seen here at this table. Check out how the Andaluz and Toledo pillows look with the new Charlotte Caramel tablecloth and Lilibet Caramel Indigo napkins

I love how Elizabeth has created this collection for fall and winter that intertwines so nicely.

Just add a few select tableware pieces and a scattering of small pumpkins and gourds to your table, and you're Thanksgiving ready!

Now for the softer side of autumn… Lilibet Caramel Indigo.

This simple & cozy table is full of all kinds of seasonal pretty. A sweet look that's easy to achieve with these pretty Lilibet napkins and tablecloth. I love adding lots of textures to add dimension and interest to the table.

Fun pumpkin plates are also a fun addition. I usually find fun ones at Home Goods this time of year.

Also new to debut this week are the table runners and placemats in the same three prints and colors as the tablecloths and napkins.

And of course, it’s always fun to mix and match these elements.

The placemats on the tablecloth give off a very elegant vibe, especially for Thanksgiving. It delineates each person’s place setting so nicely.

You can’t go wrong with this look for fall. The way the Charlotte table runner casually adds so much character to the space makes it one of the easiest décor fixes out there!

I like to leave a pretty runner on the table for weeks at a time. Just add fresh flowers and candles.

Table setting has never been easier!

Here’s the same look using the Charlotte Indigo table runner, placemats and napkins. A look that can be used 365 days of the year!

The new Autumn line of goods also makes holiday gift-giving a breeze. Check out the pretty kitchen tea towels that are sure to elevate any kitchen setting.

The new soft voile cotton Kimono-style robes also make thoughtful gifts. Wouldn’t it be fun to wake up and just effortlessly throw one of these pretty robes on?

Treat your favorite cook to a lovely apron that just coordinates with everything on the table! Wouldn’t that be fun?

They’re so comfortable. I love the two large front pockets, and the adjustable neck strap makes wearing it so easy.

The new season deserves a new cosmetic pouches or two. These are constructed from a quilted block-printed cotton and the inside is lined with plastic, for easy clean-up. They also have little pockets inside and an adorable tassel finishes off the look.

Seaside Gallery & Goods  will be carrying the whole new line as well as classic favorites. You can shop online here, or if you’re local, stop in for a visit in Newport Beach.

Seaside Gallery and Goods is located at 124 Tustin Avenue in Newport Beach, just off of Pacific Coast Highway.

the best Thanksgiving serving pieces

Raise your hand if you're excited about Thanksgiving? 🙋 Will you be hosting?

We host a small family gathering every year, and I cook everything from scratch, although last year I did buy the canned cranberry sauce instead of making my own, and it was definitely a crowd favorite!

As I get ready for the holiday this year, I’m so grateful to have such beautiful pieces on my table that really showcase this special holiday.

As much as I’ll miss the pretty autumn days of October, I think November promises to be just as beautiful.

I just love how this Pacific and Rose Castile tablecloth looks with blue and white transferware, so I brought it outdoors and set a little alfresco table in the backyard next to my wall of plates on the side of the shed.

I think this look works perfectly for a buffet table or a welcoming drink and appetizer table for Thanksgiving.

You may also spot a few festive little turkey pieces from Arthur Court Designs that really add a lot of fun to the holiday.

The blue and white turkey plates are from Home Goods that I got a few years back, and I always love using them to bring out the blue of the season.

And all the pretty flowers are from Trader Joe’s.

I invite you to take a look at all the lovely holiday tableware from Arthur Court Designs and Vagabond House.
